Traditional Turkish Breakfast

Have you ever tried Turkish Breakfast ?? 
Breakfast is the most important meal for Turkish people and its called 'kahvaltı' which literally means 'under coffee' in Turkish language. Because Most of people usually drink coffee after breakfast and they drink 'Turkish black tea' during the breakfast. It is not only food for Turkish people but also it is a meeting together of family in the morning. It is an important point to eat together all family, in the Turkish culture. 




Turkish Breakfast has variety foods. I would like to introduce some of them.

Simit: It is Turkish circualr sesame bread which eaten as a snack or part of breakfast. Simit goes well with white cheese,tomato and tea.

Sucuklu Yumurta: It is fried eggs with Turkish Sucuk. Sucuk is cured sausage made with lamb or beef with some spices.

Menemen: It is a mix of tomato, egg, green pepper, olive oil and spices.

Bal ve Kaymak: (honey and cream) Kaymak is clotted cream, scrapped off the top of the fresh milk and refrigerated. 

And the others; Butter, Cheese, Tomato, Cucumber, Olives, Jam, eggs, tea etc. 

Please don't forget that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Many studies show us that eating breakfast is good for health including better memory and concentration. 

Reasons why you shouldn't skip Breakfast

1) you start the day hungry and you need energy to do your daily duty. 

2) If you skip breakfast your mood will be low and stress lever high

3) If you don't eat have your breakfast probably you will  eat much a the lunch and when you eat irregular, you can gain weight and become fat... 

It is important you don't miss it, regardless of how busy you are.
